Welcome to Heroes of the St. Pete Police and Fire, an organization that celebrates and assists police officers, firefighters, and their families in St. Petersburg, Florida.
We raise funds to help the children of fallen heroes, and struggling heroes who have need for support. Our fundraising events include an annual 5k/10k run.
Express your appreciation on a paver for the new Firefighter Monument on an 8×8 or 12×12 paver and support the mission of The Heroes of St. Pete! It will sit alongside the current Police monument designed by Andy Hayes, who designed the Police monument. The new Fire monument will compliment the current while maintaining it’s own identity, very much like the departments themselves. We will have pavers for sale upon completion. We are working with the city to designate the area “Heroes Park at Demens Landing”
In 2003, a group of civic leaders came together to form what would become the Heroes of the St. Pete Police, an organization whose stated goals included funding the creation of a permanent memorial to honor the city’s fallen officers.
It took nine years. In 2011, when the department lost three officers in the line of duty in less than a month, the goal of completing the memorial became more urgent.
“While this monument is beautiful, it is also unsettling,” said state Rep. Rick Kriseman, D-St. Petersburg, a member of the group’s board of directors. “Because there is room for more names.”
The organization asks that donations be sent

The mission of the Heroes of the St. Pete Police and Fire, Inc. is to honor St. Petersburg policemen and firemen who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to provide financial support to assist policemen, firemen and their families during a crisis or tragedy.
There have been 15 policemen and 3 firemen down in the line of duty from the St. Pete Police and Fire Rescue forces. We have completed a Fallen Police Officer Memorial. We are working to honor our fallen firemen with a monument to show our appreciation. And we have established a fund to support policemen, firemen and their families.
